The prototype here presented is called ‘‘DeVoPeS,’’ defined volume pesticide sprayer, as it quickly performs a complete treatment on flowers. The innovation of the method presented in this work is the generation of very fine droplets (sizes between 10 and 100 m) to spray pesticide in a defined volume. In this way, it eliminates the environmental and human health concerns mentioned earlier, as well as saving pesticide. In particular, the term refers to the spraying of fine droplets in a defined volume, smaller than the greenhouse. Typically treatments are applied to the whole greenhouse at one time, with a wide loss of pesticide. This has human health, environmental and economical results.
