This article presents the results of experiments conducted on a laminated textile material used in the design and con- struction of Pneumatic Artificial Muscle (PAM). This laminated material has a complex structure and is therefore con- sidered part of the advanced materials class used in the medical applications, protective systems, aircraft applications and equipment that operate in unconventional actuators. The experimental investigations presented here are conduct- ed in order to establish the mechanical characteristics of a laminated textile material with two layers, such as: tensile strength, maximum extension, rate of elongation and optimal working field. The experimental results obtained indicate that this laminated textile material can be used in the manufacturing of pneumatic artificial muscle.
