The paper deals with the numerical modelling of jet grouting in tunnels by the Finite Element Method. Three different FEM approaches to reproduce the grouted umbrella are compared. Reference is made to the case study of the Aescher tunnel, excavated in Switzerland. Considerations and suggestions, useful at the modelling stage, are given based on the results obtained.
