Habiter le dortoir

« Habiter le dortoir » est une recherche-action initiée en 2009, menée par les anthropologues du Département de Philosophie et Sciences de l’Education de l’Université de Turin et par les architectes du Département d’Architecture et Design du Polytechnique de Turin. Il s’agit d’un processus participatif entre institutions, travailleurs sociaux, étudiants et sans-abri, où l'anthropologie interagit avec la culture du projet architectural et du design. Le postulat théorique de la recherche revient à poser l’idée que la requalification des espaces d’hébergement d’urgence et leurs transformations en des lieux riches en contenus symboliques et en opportunités de relations passent par une mise en commun des savoirs, pratiques et usages des professionnels, hébergés et universitaires afin de contribuer à l’amélioration de la qualité de vie quotidienne des personnes sans abri. « Living in the dorm » is a research-action set up in 2009 and led by the anthropologists from the Department of Philosophy and Educational Sciences of the University of Turin and by the designers from the Department of Architecture and Design of the Polytechnic of Turin. It deals with a participatory process between social workers, students and homeless, in which anthropology interacts with architectural and design project culture. The theoretical postulate of the research is that housing service spaces for homeless people can only be redeveloped and transformed into places rich in symbolic content and opportunities for relationships if workers, guests and researchers reciprocally share knowledge, practices and customs in order to improve the daily life of the homeless.
