The Safety and Environmental Assessment of Fusion Power (SEAFP) project includes activation calculations to provide input data for almost all the other safety-related tasks in the programme, such as safety analyses of normal operations, potential accidental events, and decommissioning. Neutronics and activation calculation procedures with some distinctive features are outlined and results and their use in safety-related tasks are illustrated.
