The paper concerns an evaluation of a flexible actuator performances. The actuator is specially conceived for propulsion of biomorphic fish-like robots. Static and dynamic characteristics are presented, referring to energy consumption and dynamic performances, evaluated by experimental activity performed by means of a hydraulic channel and by means of specially designed and realised experimental test rigs.

Abstract
