Commercial buildings are responsible for a significant portion of energy consumption and environmental emissions worldwide. Technical solutions to energy efficiency can help organisations achieving savings significantly, but behavioural change is equally important. Occupant’s behaviour is a factor that affects building energy performances. In the field of persuasive technology, innovative systems have been realized to motivate people to change their behaviour in a more sustainable way. This study describes an energy engagement program in an office building by using persuasive technologies giving to the users feedback and information on their comfort conditions and energy usage in their office. The main goal is to create awareness and encouraging office workers to a more environmentally sustainable behaviour. The main results of the program are reported in the paper, showing that the applied campaign allowed reducing the energy consumption at work and to create a comfortable environment revealing outcomes in line with recent literature data.
