La propaganda del regime a Trento, the propaganda of regime in Trento

This article aims to examine how cinematography can be a new tool for reading the transformation of the city of Trento during the Fascist period. The short and feature film, studied together the primary and secondary sources, preserved in the historical archives of the city of Trento, can be a valuable means to grasp the reasons that led to the realization of some projects implemented in the thirties of the twentieth century. The films made by the Luce Institute became media for the propaganda of the regime, in the case of Trento were shown the new fascistarchitecture that through the new rationalist wanted to erase all traces of the old Habsburg imperial style, demolishing and replacing the symbol of Hapsburg domination buildings.
