This article regards the experimental activity and analysis done to realise a pneumotronic prototype of a low consumption pneumatic servo-axis, able to recover energy from the supply air expansion and from the kinetic energy of the shifting masses. The study demonstrates that the energy-saving solution is effective in terms of mass and exergy consumptions.
